Shahrukh Khan said about Chennai Express:
I wanted the audience to realise that if it was so much fun making it, it will be so much fun watching it too. Also, I think makings should come before the film’s release and this was the best way to present it on social media, where everyone understands a bit of humour and energy and sees it for what it is — fun.
The last days of shoot are filled with the anticipation of ending a project and the emptiness that follows. We only get to see the end product, which is the final edit. There are hundreds of faceless technicians who make the film possible.
Rohit Shetty said about the story line of the Chennai Express:
It’s a hard-core commercial film with a romantic angle. The story is about this man’s travel from Mumbai to Rameshwaram and what happens during the journey.
