CEO/Publisher at Hello Magazine Zahraa Saifullah said:

The rich traditional heritage of the Subcontinent is something that can be seen clearly in both countries’ fashion. Yet, distinct differences can be identified between Indian and Pakistani fashion, when it comes to the cuts and silhouettes, as well as the use of color and embellishments.

I‎ love how Indians mix colors and aren’t afraid to experiment, Pakistanis are still a bit conservative and play it safe. Additionally Indians stitch the best sari blouses and there saris are exquisite. Pakistan still has the best workmanship and their embroideries are extremely intricate.

The idea of having Pakistani designers show at a platform as prestigious as Lakme fascinated Priyanka and me. IMG Reliance was also really interested in such a collaboration. We approached a few Pakistani designers with the idea. Once they were on board, we all started working on making the idea a reality!
