The rumors spread over the media that Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan and his wife Gauri Khan’s surrogate baby. Shahrukh Khan announced on Tuesday about the premature birth of his and his wife Gauri Khan’s surrogate baby boy, who they have named Abram.
Shahrukh Khan said:
Amidst all the noise that has been going around, the sweetest is the one made by our newborn baby, Abram. He was born prematurely by several months, but has finally come home.
Gauri and our whole family have been dealing with his health issues for a long time now.
Shahrukh also said: In explaining his longstanding silence about this matter, “As a family, our silence on this subject has been because of the personal nature of emotional strife that we have been going through due to his health.”
The baby was born much before the speculations of sex determination and other issues, pertaining to the same, were being raised in the media by some organisations. Suffice to say his coming home puts to rest the completely false and at times insensitive claims of sex determination and alleged illegalities.
During discussion with media, Shahrukh Khan apologized to all doctors and hospital staff who face unwanted inquiry and investigation by some gathering. He also thanked to concerned doctor Jatin Shah for his proficiency and involvement to make the successful surrogacy.
We also wish to thank all the other doctors, nurses and medical staff who have made his life possible,” added Shahrukh. He has also appealed to everyone “to allow us to cherish this private moment as a family.
The king of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan married with Gauri in 1991. Shahrukh and Gauri have two children together; one baby boy and other baby daughter; 16-year-old son Aryan and 13-year-old daughter Suhana.
The baby has been named AbRam (with a capital R).

@Mahesh Hirani! I guess it is a nod to Abraham/Ibrahim and also Ram acknowledging both Shah Rukh and Gauri’s heritage.
